If i understand everything correctly then the OpenStreetMap is just the data and the TYP-file is the layout file. For the moment we only have the TYP-file from Mapnik available, is it possible to add this one to as an option? As it shows a good difference in colors and stuff.. |

Thanks guys for the quick response. I know this is possible, but it would be really convenient if it was available on the webpage, like you choose now for the Mapnik option. |

Mkgmap is a program that takes raw OSM data and creates the files needed to use in Garmin units. I use it successfully all the time. More info in the wiki and on the website http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/ |

Yes, you can make your own Garmin maps from OSM data and a .typ file. Take a look at the wiki for instructions. |
I'm guessing that you're asking about a particular maps download service, perhaps this one? If it is that service that you're asking about, I'd ask in the forum.
