bridge = yes is always working. You can add more details for the bridge, too. E..g. bridge=swing - check here http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Bridge

second question: maxweight=n whereas n is the maxweight value in metric tons, put this tag on the section that has a weight restriction.
