I modified a portion of gladstone street on the map below to be highway=stair. However on the cycle map, it still renders as a street. It appears as stairs on the regular street map. How can I correct this?

Please be patient. OpenCycleMap layer takes a little longer to update. See this answer: When does a change get updated on the OpenCycleMap?.

Looks fine, you were probably just impatient. See the slippy map page on the wiki for a technique to make sure that the tile is up to date.
