Hi,

I found a trail on OSM that I would like to use on my GPS. (we are doing a study and have to find a way to a summit, but the trails are not marked on the field)

These are the trail I would like to use 115405950 ; 115405762 ; 115405860 ; 115405949

I am very new to the OSM environment.

If it is of any help, I use a Garmin e-Trek GPS.

Thank you in advance

Kevin

Thank you very much ! I tried both, both worked very well. The second one is alot easier but the first is better for the details. Thanks again!

One option is to use a track drawing website, eg Bike Route Toaster.

You can choose to display the standard style OpenStreetMap or OpenCycleMap as the background. In the section for Auto Routing, select the option for Data: OSM and By: Foot.

Then click on the map to draw your route, and it should follow the paths as shown on the map.

Once you are finished drawing the route, select the Summary tab, then you can download it as a track in a GPX file. The you can transfer the track to the eTrex using Garmin MapSource or GPSBabel etc. Or you can choose the option on BikeRouteToaster to download it directly to the Garmin (this requires the Garmin Communicator plugin).

There are some other websites listed here, which can do a similar thing: Track drawing websites

Hello, If you use JOSM (free software download) you can then download those objects to JOSM, from JOSM save the object as a gpx file which you should be able to upload to the GPS, or do it via Garmin Mapsource/Basecamp. I've just tried the first one 115405950 and got it into Mapsource so it will work. Regards.
