Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Hi i'm using oopen cycle map allot for biking here in switzerland, but it has one big drawback: aerialways are not render on this map (also not on hike & bike). But we use aerialways for bike transport and they are often also helpfull for orintation.

  • Are ther map's who have elevation contour lines and aerialways rendered?
  • Or is it possible to get aerialways added to cycle map?

thanks Andi

The cyclemap rendering is provided by Andy Allan http://www.gravitystorm.co.uk/ he is the person to direct such requests.

A superficial check didn't turn up any biking map (for example http://hikebikemap.de/) that actually renders aerialways even though they could clearly be considered public transport. If none of the existing maps providers want to add a rendering of such objects, you can naturally always DIY:

See http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Rendering, Maperitive is probably the best tool for a one off rendering.
