Where did you get the maps precisely? pre built maps may only be updated monthly, so more detail please and then you may get some specific help.

have a map openstreetsite downloaded from the Netherlands and Belgium, and then using the link for the version the version downloaded mapsourse and sd card. If you then load the maps on the gps does the sd card and the computer via mapsource you will see big differences.

If you can post links to the maps and a permalink to the path others more expert than I will be able to help. I use for the UK http://talkytoaster.info/ukmaps.htm excellent maps on my Vista and Nuvi and yes they are different from OSM map page and they look different on each device, some is because of talkytoaster rendering some to the device's software and hardware I guess.

On OSM map page a right click on permalink then left click copy then paste into comment or edit question and add it. like this.http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=52&lon=0&zoom=18&layers=M hope this helps

Not sure exactly what the issue is, but are you sure you are viewing the loaded map in the GPS and not the basemap? which GPSr are you using?
