Hi,

I've got problems with a border in Germany at 51.1314° N, 6.9975 E.

The problem: On the left side of the border is the city "Langenfeld". Langenfeld affiliates to the City Mettmann. On the right side of the border is the city "Solingen". It doesn't affiliate to another city.

Now an application, which uses openstreetmap, shows us, that on both sides of the border the city "Langenfeld" is and shows the Information in English.

Can anybody help us?

Thank you, icewave.

P.S. sorry for my bad english...

One help to find the answer to your problem might be the OSM Inspector at http://tools.geofabrik.de/

At the field "View" popup menu choose "Boundaries". There you can see details of the displayed borders.

I looked and there are citys with borders around Solingen but Solingen itself has no borders and you can not see the polygon on the city.

Have a look at http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/62699

This seems to be the right boundary relation to describe the city area of Solingen. Maybe this relation is incomplete.

For more details and possible solutions I suggest to ask anew in the german chapter of forum.openstreetmap.org

The borders are OK now, but our Software shows us 42697 Leverkusen, but it has to be 42697 Solingen...

Hi icewave.. It is better to move this "answer" to comments.. Since it is not a real answer, it can be voted down.
