Google v3 conversion to OSM

3

I'm investigating the compelling switch from Google to OSM. We're currently a small business who just upgraded from v2 to v3 following the extortion payment to Google when we renewed our newly defined "OEM" license in December. We would consider donating to the cause. We are rendering "page views" at about 50,000 views a month - We also provide Google with locations for geo-code plotting.

I would like some insight from some corporations who have made the switch and also would like to speak with someone regarding our challenges and possibility of making a change...

You should find everything you need to know on the SWITCH2OSM website. This includes details of how to do it yourself, and links to companies that can help you (providers of services based on OSM).

Thanks for the direct to the Switch2OSM website - research continues. I have customers in China, which is currently blocking Google - so our products that provide map capability are crippled when being accessed from China -- Insight into OSM and China would be appreciated ... I may do this as a separate post!

Thanks again --- research continues!
