For a while now I have had problems clicking on GPX traces as it as been partly or fully covered by license change box.I have sometimes managed to find I way around this and loaded a trace but not any more. I know I could use JOSM but I am happy with Potlach2 what should I do? I am using Win XP, google and adobe flash 10 asked 28 Mar '12, 21:46 andy mackey |
It could be argued that this is one for trac - i.e. that the "GPS Traces" tab shouldn't disappear under the login box (or map). However, it's not too surprising that the problem does occur. If you're using large fonts on a small screen something's got to give, unfortunately. There is code to display "View Edit History Export GPS Traces" in a smaller font if the browser window size is small enough to cause the blurb at the left not to be displayed, but that doesn't kick in for large fonts. If you reduce the font size for the website (with ctrl-minus) "GPS Traces" will appear again, but obviously the font used for everything else will be smaller too. answered 30 Mar '12, 00:32 SomeoneElse ♦ |

I have found a way to get around this problem by going here to see, or to upload a trace http://www.openstreetmap.org/traces answered 29 Mar '12, 23:47 andy mackey |
I have found that using Internet Explorer to open the map page gives a different screen layout without the box problem. I would prefer to continue to use google though.
Can you give us the exact URL where you are seeing this? I only see a license change box at the top of some pages and only when I'm not logged in.
Maybe a small screenshot of the browser (to see exactly what is overlaying what) would help?
The Trace box isn't visible until I log in, the license box then falls over the gpx trace box, I can do a screen shot and can email it, but I don't know how to put it into a question or comment. I will ask that as a separate Question.
