I feel rather stupid but I cannot get anything on screen with gosmore. What I did:

  1. I installed gosmore on ubuntu 11.10 with sudo apt-get install gosmore
  2. I did bzcat netherlands.osm.bz2 | gosmore rebuild and got gosmore.pak
  3. moved cosmore.pak into ~/.gosmore/

Than I started gosmore and nothing happens; what did I miss. I just want to see a map and be able to show a gpx track on it. No searching no routing no navigarion just viewing.

Many thanks, Janwillem
