Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

I'm using mapnik together with the wordpress plugin for local cycle route planning. In the maps the standard forest color is far too dominant. For some pictures I have manually remapped the color as shown in the attached image which looks much more professional. Is there a way to influence and improve mapnik rendering?

There are many different maps made from OpenStreetMap data. Enter "rendering" in the search box above to find hints on how to create your own maps. If you want to influence the map style that is used on www.openstreetmap.org, then you can open a ticket for the "mapnik" component on our trac bug tracking system.
