I have downloaded the Ibycus 3.2.gmapi file, and it shows up in Base Camp, but when I try to 'transfer to device' and include the selected maps, ( Ibycus 3.2 ), only my saved waypoints and routes seem to be transferred. When I unmount the device from the computer and turn it on, go to 'maps' it says 'unable to unlock maps'. I can't seem to find a way around this snag. I don't have a Garmin, ( or any other...) base map installed on the device as yet. It came with no map installed. Do I need to buy and install City Navigator or some such map set in order for Base Camp to be able to send the Ibycus file over? Very frustrating! jak asked 14 Feb '12, 21:34 jakfrost aseerel4c26 ♦ |
The question has been closed for the following reason "This is not related to Openstreetmap" by petschge 15 Feb '12, 16:06
I'm afraid that you will probably not be able to find any help here. This site is dedicated to questions about OpenStreetMap and within certain limits related hard- and software. So a question about installing a map derived from OpenStreetMap data on a Garmin device would be ok, general non-OSM related questions about a Garmin device should be directed to Garmin support and/or you map provider. answered 15 Feb '12, 15:59 SimonPoole ♦ |
