Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

When I go into map edit mode, I am unsure of how to depict one building with two tenants. Is there a way to 'divide' a building? The building in question contains a bodega in one half and a take-away restaurant in the other. Assistance or tips would be much appreciated.

Only divide the building if they really are two different buildings, or at least have different roof heights. I'd suggest putting each node in the middle of their respect space inside the building outline, or at the location of the main door of each establishment, sharing a node with the building outline.
