Hi,

I am very new to OSM. I have successfully uploaded a .gpx file and I would like to use it to modify the map, in order to add to that a path (white road) that is currently not present.

How should I do that?

Thanks, fungiat

Navigate to the place in question on the main map. Zoom in as much as you can, click edit. Click GPS Data (upper right corner) and select your recorded track, it will display on the map. Draw the new way along the recorded track and tag it as path/tack/whatever it is. Do not forget to connect it where it should be connected. Click Save. Done.

Alternative: If you plan to do more than just adding this way, download JOSM (more buttons, more features). Click download, select the area for editing (right mouse button for map moving). Draw the way. Tag it as what it is (hit F3 and start typing). When you are done, click Upload. Done

Reading this won't hurt you.
