In the last days, when editing with podlatch 2, I experienced the following problem, that was not there before: I like to press R for replicating all tags from a link when editing roads, as here where I am, there are many different name-tags, that are annoying to copy by hand (name, old_name, name:en, etc etc). After that, I usually edit the rest manually, e.g. changing the one-way-tag or smoothness and so on.

Now, when I change a link, that has been modified by R, if the changeset is still active, also the original link is changed accordingly :( Of course I checked, and the other link is not activated.

So if I want to continue my edits, I have to close the changeset and start a new one.

Is there a workaround?

This isn't intentional and if you could provide steps to reproduce we would be very interested.

what I did was following:

found a street that was unnamed, but irl has the same name as an already named street

found out, this road has lots of name-tags (name, int_name, name:language, old_name and so on)

pressed "r" to copy all tags to the unnamed stretch

after deleting / changing the other tags, the original road also changes accordingly (e.g. from oneway=yes to oneway=no)

after fixing the original link, the "new" link also changes again

I did not activate both links, I checked several times

btw, I use Firefox 9.0.1
