On garmin.openstreetmap.nl the world is divided into tiles. You can select which tiles you want to have in your .img file and it will then generate the file for you. answered 24 Dec '12, 20:15 cartinus |
Please see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin There are many, many alternatives available - depending on your demands (hiker, cyclist, car driver, ...). Please note that there is no "OpenStreetMap" with regards to one single appearance. We just collect and manage the data which is used to create many different maps. answered 25 Dec '12, 02:11 aseerel4c26 ♦ |
I use the same device and have the full Great Brittain map from http://talkytoaster.info/ukmaps.htm on a 2GB microSD. The IMG is about 0.6GB which leaves loads of space for GPX traces. The map coverage of my area Cambridgeshire is detailed hopefully the London coverage is OK for your needs. answered 25 Dec '12, 07:56 andy mackey |
